Inspired by ancient Egyptian art, this beige linen blouse features a hand-embroidered bird motif intertwined with the lotus flower. The design brings together traditional geometric elements such as circles, triangles, and straight lines, accented with the golden tones commonly found in ancient Egyptian ornamentation.
The bird represents the influence of birds in ancient Egyptian visual culture, while the lotus symbolizes renewal, the sun, and eternity. Together, they create a contemporary interpretation of ancient Egyptian symbolism through handcrafted embroidery.
Created as part of the Karama project, the design was hand-embroidered by women artisans from Stabl Antar, celebrating Egyptian craftsmanship through a modern wearable form.
