Goose & Lotus Embroidered Pouch

Inspired by the goose and lotus motifs of ancient Egyptian visual culture, this embroidered pouch brings together symbols of creation, renewal, and abundance. The design abstracts the goose into flowing decorative forms, incorporating lotus-inspired shapes and details drawn from the Cosmic Egg myth, while subtle botanical elements echo fertility and nourishment. Hand-embroidered on natural linen, the pouch combines heritage-inspired symbolism with a simple, contemporary form.

Part of a project with Karama, the piece was brought to life through the embroidery work of women artisans from Stabl Antar, turning Egyptian-inspired motifs into a wearable expression of culture and craftsmanship.
