Inspired by hooded crows commonly seen along the Nile Corniche, this linen blouse reimagines their presence through contemporary hand embroidery. The design draws from their historical appearance in ancient Egyptian reliefs and their connection to the natural landscape along the Nile.
The blouse features a relaxed silhouette with hand-embroidered bird motifs, capturing the movement and character of the crows while preserving a simple, contemporary aesthetic.
This piece is part of Karama, a project celebrating cultural-inspired design and craftsmanship. The embroidery was crafted by the women of Stabl Antar, bringing traditional handcraft into a contemporary garment.
